THE SAGINAW HALL OF FAME POEM
Marion Frahm Tincknell
They lived the dailiness of life …
taught school,
treated illness,
ministered to congregations,
practiced law,
conducted business,
performed on stage,
wrote and painted,
raked leaves and swept floors.
They were our neighbors,
neighbors who saw need and acted for change.
They improved our schools and parks,
coordinated government,
championed equality,
built libraries,
created fine writing and fine art,
delivered medical care, unselfishly.
The contributions of these men and women,
are history …
and history continues,
as Saginaw neighbors give themselves,
their time, creativity, and resources …
earning new places,
in the Hall of Fame.
